FREYWILLE’s beautiful collection Spirit of Africa takes you to a continent of old cultures, unique wildlife and lavish nature.
The two designs Spirit of Africa sets, Safari and Kilimanjaro, reflect boundless energy and powerful rhythms that will make you long for the fascinating Dark Continent.
Safari
For the Safari design, FREYWILLE’s artistic team drew inspiration from tales of legendary journeys through the African grasslands. We see vivid wildlife images, as prints of leopard, cheetah, zebra and giraffe are combined with brilliant colours and sophisticated ethnic prints. Metallic shades of bronze and mother-of-pearl let the warm tones shine especially brightly. The colour palette of the design varies depending on the mounting: strong rich colours are combined with gold; warm pastel shades shine in smooth rhodium-palladium.
Kilimanjaro
Overwhelmingly high and boundlessly vast, the Kilimanjaro has always been an inspiration for mankind. Its surrounding regions are home to ethnic groups whose colourful traditional costumes and jewellery inspired FREYWILLE’s artists. For the set Kilimanjaro, the region’s snow-covered peaks shine on a clear blue sky and are interpreted through the rough-textured prints of tribal art. Ornamental lizards and birds symbolise the continent’s richness in wildlife and fertility.
